11月16日，香港演员曹查理在个人账号发布视频，就为缅北电诈头目庆生致歉。
曹查理称，其去年8月份从加拿大回来，回来的时候什么都没有，“经理人发这个东西过来的时候，我说为什么这个有点像江湖上面的对白，我就跟他说我不想拍了。他说没事啊，很多明星都有拍，于是我就拍了。”
曹查理称，经理人把这个视频放在哪里他并不知道，很多明星都是为了钱，自己也是为了钱才会去拍这个视频，“因为我要生活，要吃饭，所以没有办法。”
